Meet the Team

​Dr. Deidre Briggs holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from West Virginia University. Having been interested in becoming a dentist since she was a child, Dr. Briggs continued her education at WVU and earned her D.D.S. degree. During her dental school education, Dr. Briggs was the recipient of the WVU Dental Scholarship during her sophomore, junior, and senior years. This scholarship is awarded to only two students per class and is based on academic performance. During her senior year, she received The American Academy of Periodontology award for outstanding achievement in Periodontics, The American Academy of Dental Practice Administration award for excellence in practice administration and four handed dentistry, and The American Equilibration Society award for outstanding performance in the science of occlusion and temporomandibular joint function. Dr. Briggs was also honored to be inducted into the highly regarded national dental honor society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon. A very small percentage of each graduating dental school class is selected for membership for demonstrating exceptional scholastic achievement as well as high moral, ethical, and professional standards. 

Dr. Briggs was accepted to the endodontic post-graduate program at the University of Pittsburgh, where she earned her endodontic certificate. Dr. Briggs proudly joined Dr. Gray at the Center of Endodontics, Periodontics, and Implantology, LLC  in 2008. She and her fiancée, who grew up in the Dallas area, reside in McKinney.

Dr. Briggs is a member of Delta Sigma Delta dental fraternity, the American Dental Association, the American Association of Endodontists, and the DFW Metroplex Endodontic Society. For those patients suffering from dental anxiety, Dr. Briggs is licensed to provide nitrous oxide sedation and oral conscious sedation. Dr. Alicia R. Gray obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in biology from Rutgers University. She pursued her passion for dentistry at the New Jersey Dental School, where she played an active role in student government and participated extensively in mentoring and tutoring programs. Notably, Dr. Gray was instrumental in establishing the first student chapter of the New Jersey Dental Association. At her graduation in 1999, she received numerous honors, including the prestigious American Association of Endodontists Award. Following her graduation, Dr. Gray was accepted into the post-graduate endodontic program at New Jersey Dental School, where she earned her endodontic certification in 2001.

In 2004, Dr. Gray relocated to Texas, and in 2006, she co-founded the Center of Endodontics, Periodontics, and Implantology, L.L.C. in partnership with Dr. Fatima Robertson. Dr. Gray continues to be an active member of several prominent national and local dental organizations, including the American Association of Endodontists, the National Dental Association, the American Dental Association, and the DFW Metroplex Endodontic Society. Additionally, she has had the distinction of being inducted into both the International College of Dentists and the Pierre Fauchard Academy.

In her personal time, Dr. Gray enjoys cooking and traveling. She is also actively engaged in organized dentistry, having served as a past president of the North Texas Dental Society and as a delegate for the Texas Dental Association. Dr. Gray is dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care, firmly believing that the true measure of success is reflected in a patient’s smile both before and after endodontic treatment.

Dr. Arushi Kakar was born and raised in Chandigarh, a beautiful city in northern India. She has been truly inspired by her father, an eye surgeon, for his values and passion for patient care. It was in India where Dr. Kakar received her dental degree and later received her master’s degree in Periodontics. Upon marriage, she moved to Toronto, Canada and her passion for Periodontics led her to pursue specialty certificate and Master of Science in Dentistry (MSD) in the United States, at Indiana University School of Dentistry. She is Certified in Sedation Dentistry (Nitrous, Oral and IV Sedation). Dr. Kakar is a Canadian Board-Certified Periodontist as well. She was also a part-time clinical instructor in the pre-doctoral clinics at Indiana University School of Dentistry during her residency.

Dr. Kakar thoroughly enjoys helping her patients retain their natural teeth with periodontal intervention and maintenance. She has expertise across the full scope of periodontics and implant therapy. Dr. Kakar is highly skilled in a variety of periodontal surgical procedures including bone and soft tissue grafting, treatment of periodontal diseases and replacing hopeless or missing teeth with implants, where indicated. She truly values the core development of strong patient-provider rapport and strives to achieve the most aesthetic clinical outcomes possible. Dr. Kakar believes in educating her patients about the importance of oral health and then partnering with them to achieve the best results.

Besides work, Dr. Kakar is a dedicated mother and wife and enjoys spending time with her family. She enjoys painting, gardening, and cooking for her family. She likes to explore new cuisines and is an ardent traveller. Dr. Kakar is fluent in three languages - English, Hindi, and Punjabi.

Dr. Fatima Robertson embarked on her dental journey at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, where she earned both her DDS and Periodontal certificate. Following three years as a practicing general dentist, she pursued specialization in Periodontology, becoming a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology.

Today, Dr. Robertson practices full-time as one half of the Center of Endodontics, Periodontics, and Implantology, bringing over 24 years of expertise to her patients. With a focus on perio plastics, she has become a leading figure in her field, known for her commitment to excellence and patient care.

Beyond her clinical practice, Dr. Robertson has served as a national spokesperson for Sensodyne and Baylor Scott and White Health Systems, advocating for dental health awareness and education. She finds great fulfillment in mentoring aspiring dental students, guiding them towards success in both clinical practice and the business aspect of dentistry.

Outside of her professional pursuits, Dr. Robertson cherishes her role as a mother to three budding adults and enjoys quality time with her husband of 25 years. She finds solace in reading books on personal development and cooking a healthy version of soul food.
